RK/a was established in 2018 and typically takes on commissions with construction budgets in excess of £250,000+VAT.

A high proportion of the commissions that the practice undertakes are within the New Forest National Park Authority (NFNPA) and New Forest District Council (NFDC), but the practice also submits planning applications in BCP, Dorset, Wiltshire, Southampton, Test Valley, Winchester, the South Downs National Park (SDNP) and a number of London Boroughs.

The practice is currently appointed on projects in Lymington, Milford-on-Sea, Brockenhurst and Landford Wood.

Since its inception, the practice has undertaken projects with budgets of up to £1,000,000 in the following locations:
